Evaluation: Germany Riesling is one of the best wines to age a long time. Tried in 08. 92 points

Nose: Petrol, honey
Taste: Acidity is getting flat with floral, petrol and honey
Finish: Sweet but acidity is not balancing the wine probably due to age

1995 Joh Jos Prum Graacher Himmelreich Auslese
Medium gold. Nice petrol, slate and floral are featured on the nose. The palate showed some thickness and featured lovely fruits and minerals. A medium finish and I would image this has some great life left. 92 points

Light gold. On the nose floral and mineral but very light indeed. The palate showed more with candied apples, mineral, and pear with a touch of sweetness. A short finish with nice acidity caps off the wine. 86 points

Taste: Some sweetness but more sour with spice, mineral, and citrus notes

Evaluation: No flaws but lacks intensity 89 points

Evaluation: Great Auslese that will cellar for 20 more years 94 points
2001 Muller-Catoir Haardter Burgergarten Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken
(Pfalz) $$
Light gold. This wine was on its last legs which was a surprise. After referencing Cellar Tracker I believe it was just a poorly made wine. A little minerality on the nose and the palate showed roughly the same. Drink up if you have any left. 81 points

Nose: Floral, honey, mineral
Taste: A blend of sweet and sour (balanced). Honey, mineral, pear, peach
Finish: Long with peach, pear, honey, mineral, and a little butter scotch
Evaluation: One of the best Spatlese I have tasted. 93 points

Light gold. Nose of floral, honey, minerals and peaches. The wine is perfectly balanced with the combo of sweet and sour. The flavors of honey, minerals, peach and pear are amazing and the finish is really long adding a butter scotch element. Drink now or hold for 5 years. (93 pts.)

Evaluation: If you like sweet then try the Spatlese wines from the Mosel as the Pfalz tend to be produced with a drier style 92 points

Nose: Honey, tropical fruit, mineral, Intense!
Taste: Wow. Honey, slate, peach, pear, and really balanced

2004 Spreitzer Oestricher Lenchen "303" Riesling Spatlese
My favorite starter wine. Light gold with a nose of floral, mineral, apricots, slate. On the palate this wine blossomed with an almost Auslese level of sweet following by apricots, slate, golden apples, and peaches. There is plenty of acidity on the finish which indicates some serious cellaring potential. 92 points
2004 Dr. F. Weins Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett Riesling $$
Color: Light gold
Nose: Pear, apple, mineral
Taste: A touch of sweetness with sour apple, pear, mineral, and citrus fruit
Finish: Medium with a hint of sweetness along with apple, pear, mineral, and citrus fruit
Evaluation: Very well made and a balanced wine from a pretty solid vintage. 88 points

Evaluation: The Nose and Taste are outstanding. While the finish is good it does not measure up to the initial taste. Close to be outstanding!!! 93 points
2005 Prinz von Hessen Rheingau Riesling $$
Color: Medium gold
Nose: Slate, peach,
Taste: Acidic with slate, peach, chalk
Finish: Starts out strong and then becomes very light
Evaluation: Due to a weak finish and a high alcohol percentage for a German Riesling not a good wine in my opinion 82 points
2005 Dr. Loosen Erdener Treppchen Auslese $$$$

Nose: Floral, apple, peach
Taste: Intense with floral, apple, peach, pear, slate
Finish: Long for a Riesling with complex character. Incredible balance between acidity and sugar levels.
Evaluation: One of the best German wines to date 95 points

Nose: Explosive crisp smell with mineral, tropical fruit. Acid present

Finish: Medium with citrus and minerals
Evaluation: Tremendous value. A wine that can be drunk alone or pair with food. A crowd pleaser at one of my tastings. 90 points

2005 Baron Knyphausen Erbacher Steinmorgan Spatlese Riesling $$$
Color: Dark gold
Nose: Citrus, flint, honey
Taste: Wow! Super balanced wine featuring nice acidity and citrus, lemons, flint, honey. Of course a little sweet but it was a perfect balance to the acidity.
Finish: Long and pleasing. Complex wine that went over really well with non white drinkers.
Evaluation: A stunner at $22! 94 points
2005 Studert-Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett Riesling $$$

Nose: Intense floral notes, honey, melon, mineral
Taste: Sweet, floral, melon, minerals, good acidity
Finish: Initial burst of flavors but overall short
Evaluation: Well made and acceptable for the price. Only flaw is the finish. 87 points

Nice dark golden color. Explodes with slate, peach, honey, golden delicious apples, and honey on nose. A thick wine with an intense taste of slate, honey, floral, peach, and pineapple. The finish on this wine is sweet but it quickly changes to a sour profile that is very satisfying. Currently 94 points (94 pts.)

Super wine with floral, apricots, peaches, minerals and honey on the nose. The palate is very expressive and lively with a thicker feel than most. Good acidity and sweetness is present but not over the top. Medium finish and full of flavor. Highly recommend. (94 pts.)

Nose: Aromatic with petrol, floral, honey, peaches
Taste: Sweet and tangy with honey suckles, peach cobbler, raspberries, honey dew melon and great minerality
Finish: Medium but concentrated up front with several descriptors above present
Evaluation: Ager! This wine will improve in 4 to 10 years. Second day it was much better and my experience with Christoffel is that day 3 will be better. 92 points
